Paige Hathaway

Paige Hathaway is a Minnesota girl who has grown up to become an internet sensation. She is a passionate fitness enthusiast who has inspired others to achieve their goals through personal training.

Paige began training in 2011. She has since become an internet sensation with millions of people following her journey. Paige has been featured in numerous fitness magazines like Women’s Health and has participated in several bikini competitions.

Paige had a difficult childhood. Here’s her story.

Domestic issues and early life

Paige was born and raised in Minnesota, the North of the USA. Paige lived in a trailer and survived on food stamps with her alcoholic father. Paige, aged four years old, was suddenly thrust into the middle of a custody dispute after her parents divorced.

Paige’s mother wanted to keep her daughter. She moved to Texas to live with an online friend. The police quickly tracked down her mother and gave Paige to her grandmother.

But this was not the end for her misery. Paige spent the next 13 years moving between two families and foster homes.

She took her first steps in fitness

Paige started working as a secretary at a local bank to help pay for college. Paige loved working out, and she would go to the campus gym whenever she could.

She had never given any thought to her diet. Paige was always very thin growing up with little muscle tone. Even though she had been active in college and played soccer, nutrition was not a priority.

Paige began to realize that being too thin was as bad as being obese. Paige was unhappy with her body and began to desire to be strong and fit.

It was this that inspired her to start a healthy lifestyle.

Participating in her first competition

Paige started to learn about nutrition after being approached in her gym by a personal coach. Paige was inspired to become stronger and fitter after her conversation with the trainer.

She entered her first show, The Ronnie Coleman Classic, not long after. She increased her training intensity.

Paige started training hard and pushing herself harder than ever before over the next four months. Paige was racing to get ready for the stage.

Paige finally had her competition day. Paige stepped onto the stage at the largest NPC statewide competition after months of hard work.

Although she didn’t win first place, she did earn a spot on the podium for being second. She took home more than just pride from the experience. Paige was astonished at how much exposure she had received from the competition and she wanted more.

She was determined to inspire others via social media.

Online sensation

Paige was the face of the supplement company after reaching out to nutritionists and bodybuilding professionals. Paige was amazed at the speed with which her followers grew and the support she received.

She was not satisfied with the new exposure and decided to start an Instagram account in 2015 to increase her fan base. She found that her photos of her body and workouts were liked by a large number of people almost immediately.

She didn’t stop there.

Paige, riding high on her Instagram success, decided to start a subscription website and become a personal coach. Paige creates customized training and diet plans to suit her clients. She also posts pictures and videos to her website to keep her fans happy.

“As I tried to make a name for myself in the fitness industry, I saw the power and reach of social media. It was a way for me to reach others and could be an effective tool to inspire others by sharing my journey and who I am.


Paige advocates plyometrics when she can. Paige does go to the gym when she can. She usually trains multiple muscle groups each session. High reps are not her favorite thing. She will usually stick to between 10-25 reps per set unless she’s training legs, in which case she may do 50 reps. She loves to train her legs and bottom the most.

She also works out three days a week on abs, depending on when she feels the best. Paige finishes her workouts (except for legs) with 15 to 35 minutes of steady-state cardio. This helps burn extra calories and keeps her fit. Paige ends her week with a day of rest to ensure she doesn’t overwork and allow her body to recover.

This is how a typical training week would look like:

  • Monday – Legs
  • Tuesday – Shoulders & Back
  • Wednesday – Legs (Plyometrics)
  • Thursday – Shouders and Chest
  • Friday – Back & Biceps
  • Saturday – Chest & Triceps
  • Sunday – Rest Day

“Personal fitness was a natural and very healthy rebound. Lifting weights was something I fell in love with quickly.


Paige follows a strict diet in order to keep her lean throughout the year. Red bell peppers are her favorite healthy food.

She does allow herself a cheat day once a week, and she loves to eat cheese pizza, chocolate, and froyo.

An average day of eating for Paige will look something like this:

  • Breakfast: Egg whites or oatmeal pancakes with peanut Butter
  • Enjoy 1 to 2 chicken strips with salsa.
  • Lunch: 2 slices of Ezekiel bread and 2 cups spinach. 1 cup chopped chicken with Wishbone Balsamic vinegar. 1 small apple
  • Snack 2: 1 scoop protein with water, 5 celery sticks and 2 tablespoons peanut butter
  • Evening Meal – 4 oz tilapia, 1 cup asparagus
